A few months ago we shared on our blog an exciting project dubbed ‘LEGACY project’ and introduced our first project. Little did we know that the seed we planted was going to provide a shade for our children’s ministries among the un-reached communities we are working in. So, it’s with great joy that we announce our partnership with DOVE RESCUE CENTER for Children, with their operational headquarters in the Kenyan Rift Valley city of Nakuru. They will manage MAPPs heartbeat and efforts to work with children living in difficult conditions wherever we operate. See their story here: LEGACY Projects #1
Their first role is to incorporate MAPPs soup kitchen program among the Turkana tribe which started in December 2022 into their programming. The aim is feed 100+ school going children with a hot breakfast before heading to school. With more support we hope to add a ‘church family’ meal whenever families gather for worship and fellowship. The coordinator in Lodwar is the Pastors’ wife of our first church plant who is getting overwhelmed with number of children genuinely seeking to join the soup kitchen.

Be the answer to a little kid who might go to school hungry!
