MAPPs Foundation traces its beginnings as early as 1988 with its founders desire being very strong to be involved in missions. Inspired by international missionaries living in the community the journey began with active university campus mission involvement under the student movement- FOCUS Kenya an affiliate member of IFES and later in the 1990s with one of the foremost Youth ministries-Youth For Christ for 6-years.

In 1998 as a member of a local church focused on missions the opportunity to go for the first-ever international missions trip to the country of Burundi became available where the vision for missions was solidified. For the next 20-years, God allowed the visionaries to go through a vision refining journey. 2018 and 2019 were exciting years when the Foundation was registered as a missions agency.

At Mapps we create pathways for all our partners and friends to do ministry where God would lead them in Africa. These pathways are specifically to the Unreached, Unchurched, under supported communities and people groups.

As a missions’ organization we are connecting the MISSION-force represented by missionaries, churches, and Christians in the corporate market-place to the MISSION-fields by building bridges in communication, networks, partnerships and resourcing. Our 4-3-2-1 model fuels collaborative efforts to accelerate the Great Commission and bring the light of the Gospel and human dignity to communities most deserving.

MAPPs has in a short time quickly grown to become a bridge Christian ministry enabling and working with others for a transformed community of the people groups of Africa through the Gospel. At the core, is our missions activating & acceleration efforts and strategies helping our mission partners and collaborators to go further, faster and more efficiently. We act locally but engage globally which is reflected in our leadership, partnerships and work. We are domiciled in Kenya where we launch all our Africa-wide work.

We are a 501(c)(3) Charitable organization registered in New Jersey, USA with an international Board of Trustees overseeing our global partnerships.

Here you will find people called to leave to the frontier missions and others called to stay as marketplace enablers. God dreams are encouraged to flourish here while we celebrate and cheer-on unsung little known kingdom heroes. We want to build infrastructures that bridge and accelerate impact of the gospel to nations.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe in Jesus Christ and his Gospel.

We believe in the one eternal God, Creator and Lord of the world, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of his will

We believe in divine inspiration, truthfulness, and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

We believe in the power of God’s word to accomplish his purpose of salvation.

We believe men and women are made in the image of God, every person, regardless of race, religion, color, culture, class, sex, or age with intrinsic dignity

Mission & Values

We value souls that Jesus died for, the call on peoples’ lives to reach them, and the building of Christian communities among the unreached people groups. This is our call! ! [Peter- Missions Director]

The world has 17,000 ethnolinguistic groups, people who share culture, language, and common history. Out of these 7,000 are considered unreached people groups. meaning they have NOT heard or have very limited witness of wonderful Good news of God’s salvation for all people. Most live in difficult places to access or in remote places away from majority of the population. God is calling us to pay attention to them. These people deserve to be reached with the amazing story of the love of God.

People are the most important part of what we do. They include our missionaries, our individual & corporate partners, our church partners, those in the diaspora, people who give their funds, assets, time, skill, prayers and encouragement. We are a home for those with dreams in missions among the un-reached people groups, un-churched and under-supported ethnic communities be it church planting, film production, music creation, engineering in missions, agricultural ministry, educators, medical missions,…the list goes on and on.

We believe Every believer is a MINISTER, is a MISSIONARY and has a MINISTRY. If you are an individual or a church who feels something ‘burning’ on the inside for souls, we are here to partner with you. We want to see Christian communities established among these people groups. We embrace ‘Jesus model’ of the Great commission as the ‘why’ we do missions and the Good commandment as ‘what’ completes our mission.

We are rallying Christians from all walks of life to join and carry passionately the call and in so doing multiply missions effort- all for the sake of winning souls!!

Accountability

We aim to steward our resources with accountability and transparency.

We are committed to being good stewards of the resources of our generous and faithful supporters. To help with reporting our Africa office in Nairobi operates each campaign, project, missionary fund, and all other country specific funds distinctly ensuring compliance and timely disbursements. We are a 501(c)(3) organization registered in New Jersey, USA with Financial experts and Mission minded Trustees. To steward the funds well, we have created a clear and effective financial management policies to ensure transparency, accountability, and operational integrity. MAPPs Foundation will remain fully audited by qualified accounting firms and its financials properly filed with the statutory bodies.
