Invest in the UNREACHED of Africa

Building a Campus to serve the UNREACHED

Stashed in Turkana County, Kenya and located west of Lake Turkana which is the world’s largest permanent desert and alkaline lake, lives one of the least reached communities, the Turkana’s. It does not take you long to figure out that water is the single most transforming resource. But it is the sight of the scattered rural Turkana manyatta villages (traditional homes) that begins to tell the need for further inland missionary outreach. Children who don’t attend school, food insecurity due to drought conditions, lack of health services because of remoteness makes the communities vulnerable with no chance of hearing the gospel and experiencing God’s providence unless someone goes to them and does something. That is what this project is all about!

Project name: Mapps Missions Hub
Country: KENYA
At Mapps Missions Foundation (Mapps) we create pathways for all our partners and friends to do ministry where God would lead them in Africa. These pathways are specifically to the Unreached, Unchurched, under supported communities and people groups.

What is a mission hub? A Missions hub is a campus with facilities for highly concentrated collaborations ideally located on high missions traffic routes to the unreached people groups. It is designed with 13 unique buildings which are a composite multi-use infrastructures ready for use by a community of mission actors. The project sits on 20-acres and will be developed to be replicable and fully self-sustaining.

So, why Build This Campus? The concept of this multi-use campus is to seamlessly blend missionary facilities, education, food production, health services, business, tourism, and community places all within the same space. The campus will cater to diverse needs that will encourage mission actors to engage this people group and practically demonstrate the gospel. Lake Turkana route is attractive location for the campus. Expansive land is available relatively cheaper.

Invitation to be part of the dream. The Missions hub campus is more than just a physical space; it’s an investment in the future of missions to this community. By bringing together all the components, the campus will empower the gospel last mile outreach to a people group in great need, stimulate collaboration among missionary actors, provide excellent facilities for wider Christian travel market, provide a business-like centre for business people on transit, develop farming skills and food supply for communities as well as bring hope to a community that does not and cannot afford access to quality health care.  All these will create a positive impact for many years to come.
